Rehmann Health Center services continue in January


CHESANING – The following services will be conducted in January at the Rehmann Health Center, 147 S. Saginaw St., Chesaning.

WIC clinics will be held remotely by telephone due to the coronavirus pandemic. New clients, transfers and those due for re-certification may schedule a telephone appointment by calling (989) 845-3911 – leave a name and number and the caller will be contacted promptly.

A mobile dental clinic will be held on the fourth Tuesday, Jan. 26 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Most insurances are accepted as well as Medicaid. A $40 fee may be charged if clients have no insurance. Dental cleaning and exams will be offered that day. Call 989-845-3911 and leave contact information to obtain an appointment. The call will be returned within 24 hours.

Water testing kits can now be picked up at the Chesaning village office. The lab tests on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays only. Instructions will be given with the sample bottle on how to return it to the Saginaw County Health Department for testing.

Note that lead, arsenic and pesticide testing in water are done only at the Michigan Department of Environmental Labs in Lansing. For information, call (517) 335-8184. Testing kits can be sent to interested persons.
