Chesaning Sons of the American Legion fundraiser a success

Dear Editor,

The Chesaning Squadron #212 Sons of the American Legion (SAL) Christmas fundraiser was another annual success. The SAL was able to provide gift bags to be passed out by the staff at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw on Tuesday, Dev. 14. Also, the American Legion Post #212, along with the Auxiliary, provided patriotic lap blankets to be given out to the veterans.

We would like to thank the area businesses for their generous support of our veterans: Ed Rehmann and Sons Clothing; The Releaf Center; RE/MAX Tri-County; Riverfront Grille; Garber Chevrolet Buick of Chesaning; Harris Insurance Agency; Family Insurance Services; Pintown Pizza and Lanes; Don Felipe Mexican Restaurant; Carlton Camping Center; Horger’s Farm and Automotive; Shultz/Central Pharmacy; The Back Forty Bar and Grill; Weigold’s Nursery; BigRock Millwork; Frey’s Auto Parts; MMB Advisors; Brant Bar; McGeehan Funeral Homes; Edward Jones Investments – Doug Moeggenberg; Broad Street Pharmacy; Amman’s Garage; H&R Block; Chapin Telephone; Homes by Stoddard; D’s Party Store; Hoffer Performance; Designs by Bean; Line Street Family Dentistry; and M-57 Surplus.

Chesaning Christmas breakfast a delightful time.

Dear Editor

I attended the Christmas breakfast (in Chesaning on Saturday, Dec. 11) with my two daughters, granddaughter and three great-granddaughters. I have to compliment the organizers for a job well done. Breakfast was quick, Santa visit was set up in a perfect spot and the activities were fun for everyone, young and old. Thank you for another wonderful way to celebrate Christmas.
