Feltman’s contract renewed for three years

VILLAGE OF CHESANING – On Tuesday, Feb. 6, the Chesaning Village Council approved a new three-year contract to keep Village Administrator Troy Feltman on staff.

During the council meeting, councilman Trent Vondrasek explained the finance and administration committee had been working on an agreement for another three years.

“For the most part, everyone realizes the quality of the person in this position,” Vondrasek said.

He went on to list some of Feltman’s accomplishments over the past three years, including street improvements and mapping the village’s infrastructure.

“He’s done a wonderful job,” Vondrasek said of Feltman.

Vondrasek recommended approval of the contract, which includes an additional $50 per month on Feltman’s car allowance, as well as a seven percent increase, which is consistent with recent staff contract increases.

Village president Joseph Sedlar, Jr. said, “We’re getting off cheap.”

Councilman Phil Larner said, “I’d like to thank Troy for what he’s done for the village.”

Vondrasek added, “He’s also been getting calls from other communities.”

The village council unanimously approved Feltman’s new three-year contract.
