GOVERNMENT MEETINGS

CHESANING TOWNSHIP BOARD will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1, at the Township Hall, 1025 W. Brady St.

CLUBS/CIVIC GROUPS

CHESANING ROTARY CLUB meets each Tuesday at noon at Riverfront Grille in downtown Chesaning.

MONTROSE MASONIC LODGE #428 will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, at the Lodge, 130 Parkway St.

REUNIONS

• The Chesaning Union High School CLASS OF 1971 will be holding a reunion at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9 at Pintown Pizza and Lanes. The menu will be pizza and salad. The cost is $10 per person. A cash bar will also be available.

FOOD PANTRIES

The CHESANING AREA EMERGENCY RELIEF (CAER) CENTER will only be open to clients and donors on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. CAER will accept donations and offer emergency assistance to area residents, including food, clothing, household goods, baby diapers, and adult diapers. ODDS AND ENDS

• The Saginaw Conservation District will be holding TIRE RECYCLING EVENTS on Friday, Sept. 9 from 9 a.m. to noon at Anderson’s Grain Elevator, 485 S. Hemlock Road, Hemlock, and on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Kochville Township Office, 5851 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw. These events are open to Saginaw County residents only. The cost is $1 per passenger vehicle tire, $5 for semi-truck tires, and $15 for tractor tires, cash only. The limit is $30 per person. Tires must be clean and off the rim. • The MONTROSE MASONIC HALL is available for rent. Seating for up to 120 people is available. For information, call (989) 736-9986.

• Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 400 N. Saginaw St., Montrose, will host BINGO on Thursdays from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Bingo guests can expect to enjoy delicious concession-style food, comfortable surroundings and friendly bingo callers who aim to provide a positive bingo experience. SENIOR CITIZENS

• The Young at Heart Club, 218 Church St., hosts a SENIORS DANCE each Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. The dance is for ages 50 and up, and the cost is $5 per person. All seniors are welcome for a night of fun.

• The Maple Grove TOPS GROUP invites new members to lose weight the sensible way on Thursday mornings at 8:15 a.m. at the Maple Grove Township Hall, M-57 at Lincoln Road.
