Lady Indian golfers compete at Byron Shootout invitational

BYRON – Only three players were able to tee it up for Chesaning at the Byron Eagles Fall Shootout golf invitational last Wednesday, but each Lady Indian managed to cope with a drenched, cold morning of golf and a hot afternoon.

With only three golfers, Chesaning could not qualify as a team.

Taylor Gross continued her medal-winning streak by finishing seventh with a 98.

Girls’ Golf Regionals

Division 4 Friday, Oct. 12 at Mt. Pleasant Country Club, hosted by Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart. – Chesaning, Frankenmuth, Ithaca, Lakeview, Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart, Pinconning, Chippewa Hills, Valley Lutheran, Shepherd, St. Louis, and Central Montcalm.

Finals will be Friday and Saturday, Oct. 19-20 at The Meadows at Grand Valley State University.

Gabi Sholtz turned in a 138 and Maggie Gross finished with a 140.
