‘Dawgs come up short to Pinny

PINCONNING – The St. Charles varsity gridders had their chances Friday night, but came up short in a 13-8 loss to host Pinconning.

The Spartans took a 7-0 lead into the half, but the Bulldogs came back for an 8-7 edge in the third quarter. Pinconning went ahead 13-8 in the fourth.

St. Charles had 169 yards rushing, and 186 all-purpose yards in the contest.

Michael Pratt picked up 118 yards on 15 carries. Alec McConnell had 33 yards on eight carries. Jackson Diffin added 19 yards on five carries. Logan Erskine had five yards on one carry.

On defense, McConnell had 10 solo tackles, three assists and a tipped pass. Erskine had two solos and two assist with a sack. Diffin had five solos with two assists. Cody Kostick had five tackles. Tyler Hodges had four tackles, an assist and a tipped pass.

The Bulldogs play host to St. Louis this Friday night for Homecoming. Game time is 7 p.m.
