NEW LOTHROP – Area residents who have yet to see the new New Lothrop Area Public Schools’ Facebook page may want to take a look. A new marketing campaign that utilizes social media is underway, and a series of short videos featuring the school district can be found there.

The district approved a contract with the company Michigan Design Foundry during its June board of education meeting. The marketing campaign’s purpose is to help promote the school district.

The approved 90-day contract for $7,999 with Michigan Design Foundry, owned by New Lothrop High School alumnus Andrew Brashaw, is currently underway and will end sometime in September.

The series of video and photographs, created by the company featuring students, staff and parents at New Lothrop Area Public Schools, will be seen on sites like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and the district’s site at www.newlothrop.k12.mi.us.

“It is important to tell our story as a district,” school superintendent Dr. Anthony Berthiaume said.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to highlight our students and staff in such an effective and efficient way through the use of social media,” he said.

The new campaign can currently be seen by visiting Facebook and searching New Lothrop Area Public Schools.
