JAMES LEE JERSEY, JR., of Millington, 66, passed away peaceful at home late Tuesday evening June 26, 2018. James was born in Flint on September 21, 1951, and was the son of James Lee and the late Betty (Bodfield) Jersey. On June 25, 1988, James married Nancy Sternal, and they have celebrated 30 years of marriage. James was employed with Delphi-General Motors Division, as a job setter, and retired after 30 and one-half years. James was a member of UAW Local 651. He was a 1969 graduate of Montrose Hill McCloy High School. He served in the U.S. Army. He loved hunting, fishing, softball, collecting antique pottery, playing cards, gardening, and spending time with his pets. James will be greatly missed. But all who knew him will remember his kindness, his wisdom, and his caring for others.

James leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Nancy; children, Keely Hartley (Paul Loiselle), Jimmy Jersey (Keri Foresyth), Tina (Brian) Gerald, Kyle Gosciniak, and Kara (Mike) Johnsen; grandchildren, Justin (Ashley Smith), Cody, Aubrey, Ashlyn, Willow, Zoey Madison, Drake, Declan, and Jack; a great-grandchild, Ares James Jersey; his brother, Glenn Jersey and sister, Dawn Borowiak, as well as other extended family and friends; and his pets, Charlie and Kit Kat.

The family has honored James wishes and cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of James’ life on Saturday, July 28, 2018 beginning at 3 p.m. at the Forest Township Hall, 130 E. Main St., Otisville. The family wishes to extend its deep appreciation to Kindred Hospice for its care and support, and to the Hanlin Funeral Home for its support and guidance through this time. Thank you all for your kind thoughts, prays and sympathies.
