St. Charles JV nine beats St. Louis twice

St. Charles’ JV baseball team beat visiting St. Louis twice last Tuesday, winning the opener, 9-3, before coasting to an easy 12-0 win in the finale. Connor Watson earned the decision on the mound in the first game as Jayce Raabe was a perfect 3-for-3 at the dish. Raabe collected a walk, two RBI’s and scored three times. Collin Brabrant added a pair of hits, two ribbies and a base on balls. STC was solid on defense in Game Two while Tyler Gengler recorded a triple, single and RBI. Brabrant and Tyler Hodges each had a pair of hits. Hodges knocked in three teammates and Brabrant drove in two with his double and single.

Tribe MS track girls take first in tri-meet

Chesaning’s middle school girls’ track team took first in a tri-meet with visiting Birch Run and Bridgeport.

The Indians had 69 points. Birch Run was second with 57 points. Bridgeport was third with 38 points.
