Floral Designs by Jane

809 S. Main St. (M-57), Chesaning • (989) 529-3334

Jane Drexler of Chesaning is fulfilling a dream right in her own backyard. It was a dream that started to take form after the passing of her beloved husband, Clare Drexler.

“He loved being in his workshop,” Jane said, “I knew my decision to transform it into a silk flower shop would be so pleasing to him.” With the help of her family and a florist friend, the large two-story hip-roof barn was emptied of all its tools and was converted into her floral workshop and display area and filled to the brim with beautiful silk blooms.

Jane’s interest in silk florals began long ago when she decorated for her three daughters’ weddings. She also knew she loved working with customers from her years as an employee at the former Chesaning State Bank through four name changes, and more recently, Dollar Daze.

In addition to having an assortment of silk arrangements and wreaths on display, customers are encouraged to bring in their own containers for Jane to arrange. They can choose from a large assortment of colorful, seasonal stems.

Floral Designs by Jane is located behind her home at 809 S. Main St. It is the last house on the east side of M-57, just before Dr. Roy Small’s office on the curve when heading east out of Chesaning. Drexler welcomes all to stop by and say hello. Hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from noon to 6 p.m. or by appointment anytime by calling (989) 529-3334.
