Tribe netters blank Caro, O-E

CHESANING – The Indian varsity girls’ tennis team played two matches on Thursday, April 12, blanking both Caro and Ovid-Elsie 8-0.

Against Caro, Anna Bates won 6-0, 6-1 at number one singles. At number two, Casey Hartt won 6-0, 6-0. Brooke Miller won 6-1, 6-0 at the number three slot. Kaylee Princinsky won 6-0, 6-0 at number four.

In doubles play, Brooke Keck and Abbey Bitterman won 6-4, 6-1 at the number one spot. Katelynn Ferry and Jadyn Mathis won 6-1, 6-0 at number two. The number three team of Bretlyn Warner and Stephanie Coon won 6-0, 6-1. The number four team of Tina Chen and Eve Griffin won 6-0, 6-0.

Against the Marauders, Bates was a 6-1, 6-4 winner at number one singles. Hartt won 6-0, 6-0 at number two. Miller won 6-2, 6-3 under the lights at number three. Princinsky won 6-0, 6-1 at number four.

In doubles, Keck and Bitterman won 6-2, 6-1 at the number one spot. Mathis and Ferry won 6-0, 6-0 at number two. Coon and Griffin won 6-0, 6-1 at number three. Marra Sadilek and Caleigh Amman teamed for a 6-1, 6-2 win at number four doubles.

The Indians are 4-0 on the season, 3-0 in Tri-Valley Conference play. They host Bay City All Saints on Tuesday, and Garber on Thursday.
