Hornets cruise to team district wrestling crown

SAGINAW – New Lothrop’s varsity wrestlers had little trouble capturing the Division 4 team district title at Michigan Lutheran Seminary on Thursday, Feb. 8.

The host Cardinals opened with a 60-23 win over St. Charles in the semifinals. The Hornets then topped the Cards 63-12 in the finals.

The Hornets will host the team regional on Wednesday, Feb. 14, facing Vassar at 6 p.m. On the other side of the bracket, Cass City and Marlette will face off, also at 6 p.m. The regional finals will follow.
