Huskies hammer STC cagegirls, 53-25

ST. CHARLES – Visiting Hemlock had little trouble dispatching the St. Charles varsity cagegirls on Friday, Jan. 5.

The Huskies opened with a 23-6 advantage in the first and added a 16-7 margin in the second to lead 39-13 at the intermission. Hemlock posted a slim 10-8 edge in the third, and the squads tied in the fourth, 4-4.

“Tonight we hosted Hemlock, and from the opening tip they were ready to play,” said St. Charles coach Andre Williams. They jumped out to a 19-6 lead and never looked back. We played hard, but their size was a huge factor in the game.”

Hannah Kushion and Allison Duranso led the Bulldog offense with eight points apiece. Faith Kumpelis chipped in three points. Macy Docken, Peyton Czymbor and Celine Whiren had two points each.
