RETURNS DEC. 9 – St. Charles Children’s Center will be holding its annual Breakfast with Santa fundraiser on Saturday, Dec. 9, from 9 – 11 a.m. in the St. Charles High School/ Middle School Cafeteria, with an open house format. Children are encouraged to wear their Christmas pajamas. The cost is $5 per child, $3 for adults. All children must be accompanied by an adult. The child’s ticket includes: breakfast, beverage, art table, games, holiday story corner and face painting sponsored by St. Charles Lions, plus a ticket for a child door prize. Adult ticket includes: breakfast, plus a ticket for an adult door prize. Additional activities available for separate fees include a bake sale and cookie decorating. Tickets, by pre-sale only, may be purchased at Bulldog Kids Care located inside St. Charles Elementary School, 801 W. Walnut St., St. Charles. Ticket sales run until Wednesday, Dec. 6, or until they are gone. Limited tickets are available. Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras for pictures with Santa. Proceeds will benefit St. Charles Children’s Center – Bulldog Kid’s Care and Sunshine Learning Center.

TAYMOUTH CHRISTMAS IN THE COUNTRY – The Taymouth Historical Association invites everyone to start their Christmas celebration early as it hosts the 23rd annual Christmas in the Country program on Sunday, Dec. 3, starting at 3 p.m. at the 1873 St. Paul’s Mission Church. The little white church in the country will be filled with Christmas carols and lots of special music lead by the Holy Cross Lutheran Church Choir from Saginaw. Also, there will be scripture readings and a visit by the jolly old man dressed in red. Admission is free, but attendees are asked to bring two cans of non-perishable food for the Birch Run-Taymouth Care program. A free-will donation will be collected, with proceeds directed to continuing the restoration of the church. There will be refreshments after the program. The church is located in the Taymouth Cook Cemetery, 13250 Seymour Road, just south of Burt Road. For questions, call (989) 751-7651.
