Eddy Band presents ‘Holidays in the City’ Nov. 18

SAGINAW – On Saturday, Nov. 18, the Saginaw Eddy Concert Band, directed by Joseph Radtke, will present their 23rd annual holiday concert, called “Holidays in the City,” in the Heritage Theater at The Dow Event Center beginning at 7:30 p.m. The concert is free. Parking is free with the donation of a non-perishable food item to the Salvation Army’s Food for Families campaign. Donations will be accepted at the entrances to parking lots adjacent to The Dow Event Center, including the ramp.

Special guests will be Bradley and Rachell Fergin and the Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy choir. They will be performing such favorites as “O Holy Night,” “The Christmas Song” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” Art Lewis from WSGW will be the emcee for the evening.

Favorites played by the band will include “Silver Bells,” “Sleigh Ride,” Leroy Anderson’s Christmas Festival Overture including some favorite carols and many others. The final selection will be a Christmas sing-a-long, giving everyone in the audience a chance to join in the fun and sing their favorite carols.

Rumor has it that a special visitor from the North Pole will make an appearance. He’ll be checking his list – probably twice – to make sure everyone has been good this year.
