In-Stitches Knitting Group meets the second Saturday of the month at 10 a.m.

Saturday movie matinees will be held on the first Saturday of each month at 11 a.m. Popcorn and beverages will be provided.

Services Available: Faxing $2 for the first page and $1 for each additional page. Copies are 15 cents for black and white and 50 cents for color copies. Laminating is available for $1 per page.

Fall Hours: Monday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Tuesday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Wednesday closed, Thursday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Friday closed, Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Fall Story time is Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. for ages 2 through kindergarten. Please call the library to register your child.

3D PRINTER PROGRAM – Come learn what it takes to print objects with a 3D Printer. Learn how to use an online AutoCAD program that lets you design your own objects to print. See the 3D printer create an object while we have fun designing objects of our own. Please call the library to sign up for this program as space is limited.

The Hook and Needle Group will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 1 p.m. New members are welcome.

The library will close at 4:30 on Tuesday, Oct. 31, for Halloween.

The Adult Coloring Club will meet on Friday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. to noon. Participants may bring their own coloring supplies or use the supplies provided by the library. New members are encouraged to join the coloring group.

The St. Charles District Library Board will meet on Sunday, Nov. 5, at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

The Book Discussion group will meet on Monday, Nov. 6, at 6 p.m. to discuss the book While We’re Far Apart by Lynn Austin.

The Friends of the Library will meet on Tuesday, Nov 7, at 4 p.m. New members are welcome.

Hours of Operation: Monday – Thursday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday closed.

The New Lothrop Branch of the Community District Library has the following events planned in October. Space is limited so preregistration is required. Phone (810) 638-7575 during library hours to reserve a spot.

Harry Potter Potions Class will be presented by Sloan Museum on Monday, Oct. 23 from 4 to 5 p.m. Participants are invited to wear their house colors and come to mix, measure and pour potions to take home, including dragon blood, skeleton polish and a bubbling, color changing reaction.

Library hours are Monday and Wednesday from 1 – 7 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 1 – 5 p.m.

We are open to the public Monday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. If Ashley Schools are closed or delayed due to weather conditions, we are also closed or delayed. Please ring the buzzer for entrance during school hours. Our Book Drop Box is located in the entryway. It is accessible 24/7.

The library will be closing at 4:30 p.m. on Halloween, Tuesday, Oct. 31.
