OCP to hold car raffle fundraiser

OWOSSO – One lucky ticket holder will win a two-year lease on a spitfire red Fiat Cabrio hatchback or $8,000 cash in the Owosso Community Players’ “Raffle for Royalties,” which runs now through Dec. 17 when the drawing will be held at the Lebowsky Center at noon.

Tickets to enter the December drawing are only $20 each or six for $100, and can be purchased in the OCP box office, Shiawassee Chamber of Commerce, O-Town Café, Mertles’s Chocolates, and Slingerland Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat, where the car is on display. The winner need not be present to win and must be 18 years of age or older.

The car will also be on display at the Owosso Farmer’s Market, Oktoberfest, and during the Owosso Community Players production of “Rabbit Hole” in November and Holiday at Lebowsky in December.

“We don’t want anyone to miss out on a chance for the grand prize,” said Sue Ludington, marketing committee chair. “And don’t forget there is a second prize, too.” A second place winner will receive a $500 Visa gift card.

All net proceeds will benefit the Owosso Community Players.

“Many of our audience members are unaware of the high cost of royalties OCP has to pay in order to put on our show,” said OCP Executive Director Kathy Brooks. “Last year’s royalties were over $30,000, so we hope to offset that huge expense with this special raffle.”

The Owosso Community Players is committed to their mission to educate, entertain, and enrich lives by providing a quality performing arts experience. To learn more about upcoming performances, visit www.owossoplayers.com.
