MAPLE GROVE TOWNSHIP BOARD will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, in the township hall, 17010 Lincoln Road.

MONTROSE TOWNSHIP BOARD will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19 in the Township Hall, 139 S. Saginaw.

CHESANING VILLAGE COUNCIL will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, in the council chambers at the village office, 1100 W. Broad Street.


CHESANING AREA SNOWMOBILERS ASSOCIATION will meet at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chesaning. For information call Cheryl Ziola at (989) 643-7812.

• The ST. CHARLES AMERICAN LEGION POST 468 meets on the third Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. in the American Legion Hall, St. Charles.

• The SHIAWASSEE QUILTERS meet on the third Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Owosso Senior Center, 300 N. Washington St. Some of their activities include making charity quilts, quilt speakers, trunk shows, round robins, mystery quilts, prizes, free fat quarters, and tips of the months.

• The BURT AMERICAN LEGION POST #99 meets the third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Burt Opera House, 12888 Nichols Road, Burt.

CHESANING SPORTS BOOSTERS will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. in room 401 at Chesaning High School.

• The ST. CHARLES LIONS CLUB meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the St. Charles United Methodist Church, 301 W. Belle St., St. Charles.

• The MONTROSE BLUEBERRY FESTIVAL COMMITTEE will meet at 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month at the Montrose Depot, 154 W. State St., Montrose. Visitors should contact the festival email at montroseblueberryfestival@hotmail.com one week prior to the meeting in order to be placed on the agenda.

• The TAYMOUTH TOWNSHIP HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION meets on the third Monday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Taymouth Township Library, 2361 E. Burt Road, Burt.


• Montrose United Methodist Church will host a SOUP AND PIE SUPPER on Thursday, Sept. 21 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $5.

• The First United Methodist Church of New Lothrop will host a SOUP AND PIE SUPPER featuring homemade soup on Wednesday, Sept. 20, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $5 for adults, $2.50 for children.

• Chesaning American Legion Post #212 will hold a VETERANS’ BENEFIT SUPERDRAW RAFFLE on Saturday, Sept. 23 at Twin Brooks Golf Club, 1005 N. McKeighan Road, Chesaning. Tickets are $100, which admits two adults and includes golf tournament, music, golf skills event, dinner, drink specials and 50/50 drawing. The grand

prize is $2,500. Ten tickets will win $250, and 10 tickets will win $100. Only 300 tickets will be available, and can be purchased at the Twin Brooks Pro Shop. Happy hour will be at 5 p.m., with dinner at 6 p.m. and the drawing at 8 p.m.


• The St. Charles District Library, 104 W. Spruce St., St. Charles, is having a FALL BOOK AND BAKE SALE on Wednesday, Oct. 4, from 2-6 p.m., and on Thursday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. The cost is $3.00 per bag (bags are provided). There will be a variety of books for children and adults, and also homemade baked goods for sale. It is sponsored by the Friends of the St. Charles District Library. • The QUARTERLY FOOD DISTRIBUTION from the Saginaw Community Action Committee will be at the St. Charles United Methodist Church on Tuesday, Sept. 26 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Those participating should bring identification.


• The St. Charles High School CLASS OF 1992’s 25th year reunion will be held on Saturday, Oct. 14 at Kimberley Oaks Golf Course in St. Charles. Dinner, DJ and cash bar will be provided. Invitations will be emailed. • The Owosso High School Class of 1967’s 50TH YEAR REUNION will be held on Saturday, Sept. 30 at Comstock Inn, Owosso. There will be a classmates get-together on Friday, Sept. 29 at 5 p.m. at Jumbo’s in Owosso. • Vendors are wanted for a CRAFTS BAZAAR to be held on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1629 W. Brady Road, Chesaning. Registration is $20 for an eight foot space, $25 after Oct. 6, $5 less for those who bring their own table. A $6 lunch is available. To register, contact Diane Stanuszek at (989) 865-9709.

• Crafters and vendors are wanted for a CRAFT SHOW AND INDOOR YARD SALE to be held on Saturday, Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the WFLA-ZCBJ Hall, 1775 Owosso Ave., Owosso. • There will be a DOLL SHOW AND SALE on Sunday, Sept. 24 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Dom Polski Hall, 3415 N. Linden Road, Flint. There will be modern, collectible and antique dolls, Barbie and fashion doll, accessories, clothing and related items. Admission is $2. ST. CHARLES SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST COMMUNITY CENTER is open the first and third Thursday of every month from 6:30 until 8 p.m. The center is located at the corner of Clinton and Marcy Streets in St. Charles, and serves those who are in need of gently used clothing, household items and furniture (when available). The center also accept donations of gently used clothing, household items and furniture. Interested persons should stop by if they need assistance or have any questions.


NEW LOTHROP AREA PUBLIC SCHOOLS BOARD OF EDUCATION will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, for a regular meeting in the High School Library, 9285 Easton Rd., New Lothrop.
