Book Discussion Group: Our selection for the September book discussion is Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult. Stop by the library and pick up a copy then join us on Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. for discussion and refreshments!

Chesaning Area Friends of the Library will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. New members are encouraged to attend.

Story Time: Janet Godfrey will once again be hosting Story Hour for our youngest readers on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. beginning Sept. 19. Class is limited to 10 children.

In-Stitches Knitting Group meets the second Saturday of the month at 10 a.m.

Saturday movie matinees will be held on the first Saturday (beginning after Labor Day) of each month at 11 a.m. Popcorn and beverages will be provided.

Services Available: Faxing $2 for the first page and $1 for each additional page. Copies are 15 cents for black and white and 50 cents for color copies. Laminating is available for $1 per page.

The St. Charles District Library announces digital magazines for residents of Brant, St. Charles and Swan Creek Townships.

The St. Charles District Library, in partnership with Recorded Books (Prince Frederick, Md.), now offers the digital-magazine service RBdigital. RBdigital features full-color, digital magazines for instant desktop reading, mobile streaming, and mobile-app download. With this service, patrons can add new and back issues to personal reading libraries with no holds, no checkout periods, and no limits to the number of magazines checked out and downloaded. And with personal notifications for favorite magazines, patrons never miss an issue. The book discussion group will meet on Monday, Sept. 11, at 6 p.m. to discuss the book The Reluctant Midwife by Patricia Harman.

The adult coloring group will meet on Friday, Sept. 15, from 10 a.m. to noon. The adult coloring group meets the first and third Friday of the month.

The Fall Story time will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 10:30 a.m. for ages 2 through kindergarten. Please call the library to register your child.

The Hook and Needle Group will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 1 p.m.

Writers’ Group – The Montrose-Jennings Writer’s Group will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. Come join this group of word-lovers that meets in the Community Room on the first and third Tuesday of every month.

Social Security Awareness – The Montrose- Jennings Library will hold a Social Security Awareness program on Tuesday and Thursday, Sept. 12 and 14 at 6 p.m. Prepare for retirement by learning more about your social security benefits. Christina Stokes from the Society of Financial Awareness, will lead this educational seminar.
