60th Anniversary


Frank and Jean Gross in 1957 Frank and Jean Gross in 1957 Frank and Jean Gross, of Chesaning, are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.

Franklin H. Gross, Jr., and the former Jean A. Miller, were united in marriage on August. 17, 1957 at the Brant United Methodist Church.

Their children and their spouses are Cindy and Franklin Gross III; Michael Gross; Laura and Jeffrey Gross, of Wadsworth, Ohio; and Deann and Brad Smith, of Elsie. They also have 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Frank worked at Midland Ross, Johnson Controls and retired from General Motors. Jean, a homemaker, decorated cakes at White’s Bakery and has retired from teaching. Both are active members of the Chapin United Methodist Church.

The couple met at the Fenmore Roller Rink and are known for always being together. Whether it be on the dance floor, flea markets, sitting on the porch drinking coffee, playing cards with friends/family or just walking holding each other’s hand, they are always together. What keeps these two going strong? A great sense of humor, an unconditional love for each other, and a strong faith in God, the Bible, and prayer.
