Book Discussion Group: Our selection for the August book discussion is I Let You Go by Clare Mackintosh. Stop by the library and pick up a copy then join us on Wednesday, Aug. 16 at 7 p.m. for discussion and refreshments!

Back to School Bingo: We will be holding our back-to-school bingo for grades kindergarten - fourth on Monday, Aug. 14 at 1 pm and grades fifth – 12th on Thursday, Aug. 17 at 1 p.m.

Summer Reading Sponsors: We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the many individuals and businesses who helped to make our summer reading program such a huge success this year. We had 245 kids and teens who signed up this summer! Services Available: Faxing $2 for the first page and $1 for each additional page. Copies are 15 cents for black and white and 50 cents for color copies. Laminating is available for $1 per page.

Summer Hours: Monday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Tuesday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Wednesday closed, Thursday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Friday – 10 a.m. – 2 pm, Saturday closed.

One hundred ninety children, 65 young adults, and 95 adults participated in the Summer Reading Program. Thank you to the sponsors and volunteers for making our summer reading program a huge success!

The adult coloring group will meet on Friday, Aug. 18, from 10 a.m. to noon.

The Hook and Needle Group will meet on Tuesday, Aug. 22, at 1 p.m.

The St. Charles District Library board meeting scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 27, at 6:30 p.m. is cancelled.

The Friends of the Library will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 4 p.m. to make preparations for the Fall Book and Bake Sale. New Friends members are welcome to join!

The book discussion group will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 6 p.m. to discuss the book The Reluctant Midwife by Patricia Harman.

The Ashley District Library will be closed the weeks of Aug. 14 and 21 due to construction projects in and around our building. We are sorry for any inconvenience. The Saginaw Community Foundation awarded a grant of $1,250 to the Taymouth Township Library. The funds will go toward a new community sign in front of the library. The sign will allow the library to provide information on local events for the public. The Saginaw Community Foundation was founded in 1984, and awards grants to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, local entities of government and religious institutions in Saginaw County. The library is looking forward to the sign being installed by September.
