The Chesaning Sports Plane Association held its annual Fly-in and Dawn Patrol Breakfast on the morning of Sunday, July 9. It was an opportunity to get up close to small planes and talk with the pilots. In addition to seeing a variety of small aircraft, there was an opportunity to see a vintage military encampment and meet local emergency personnel. The emergency equipment on display included a fire truck, an ambulance, a medical transport helicopter and a local police vehicle. Children were able to take a ride in the kiddie plane train. And guests had the opportunity to get a birds’ eye view with airplane rides available for a fee. The all-you-can-eat breakfast is always a big draw too.
