DeHues will return to the outdoor stage at Roma’s Back Door along with his three-piece live Jazz Trio.

“It has been several years and I am excited that Roma’s has invited us back,” said DeHues. “It’s always great to sing for a hometown crowd and be able to perform with my Michigan trio.” Joining DeHues will be Jeff Kressler of DeWitt on keyboards, Ed Fedewa of Lansing playing stand-up and electric bass and Ian LeVine of Williamston on drums.

The evening’s show list covers a wide range of styles to the delight of all ages - including music from the Great American Songbook to Modern Lounge and Bossa Pop. “Brazilian Bossa Nova has always been my favorite genre,” DeHues noted. “I recently had the immense pleasure of performing at Herb Alpert’s prestigious Vibrato Jazz Club in the Bel Air area of Beverly Hills. The bassist that evening, Pat Senatore, can be heard playing on all of the classic Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass recordings of the 60s & 70s. Mel Torme’s former pianist also accompanied me. It was a thrill to sing a couple Torme numbers with the man who worked so closely with him.”

Next up for DeHues is a meeting with LA producers/arrangers Dave Siebels and Grammy award winner Hussain Jiffry, to put finishing touches on his new recording project which began in France. DeHues is joined by the talents of Double Francoise on original and classic songs reminiscent of ‘60s Bossa Nova laced tastefully with Euro beats and Nu Lounge elements forming a sophisticated sound.

Reserved tickets for the $10 cover charge are available and recommended for purchase prior to the Thursday, July 20 show at Roma’s Back Door, 200 E. Comstock, Owosso or by calling (989) 725-5767. Show starts at 7 p.m.
