Tribe netters top BC, 7-1

Chesaning’s varsity girls’ tennis team improved to 2-1 on the season with a 7-1 win over Bullock Creek on Thursday, April 13.

In singles play, Anna Bates won 6-0 6-1 over Nicole Seller at the number one spot. Number two singles Casey Hartt defeated Emily McDonald 6-3, 6-2. At number three, Brooke Miller won 6-2, 6-1 over Mickey Gravis. At number four, Kaylynn Princinsky won 6-0, 6-0 over Adrianna Young.

Bates and Miller are undefeated on the young season.

In doubles, Brook Keck and Caleigh Amman won 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 over Cassidy Korson and Chloe Finney at the number one slot. At number two doubles, Tina Chen and Stephanie Coon lost 6-0, 6-1 to Dana Seiler and Nana Metcalf.

The number three team of Abbey Bitterman and Paige Luft won 6-1, 6-3 over Brittney Meyer and Hailee James. The number four team of Bretlin Warner and Jadyn Mathis won by default.
