Of Montrose

Age 71, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Magnum Care of Saginaw. Karen was born on May 20, 1945 to Charles and Glendine (Millet) Stockwell. She married Lee James Eschenweck on July 6, 1962; they celebrated 54 years of marriage before he predeceased her last October. Karen was a lifelong homemaker, and she also worked as a teacher’s aide for Flint Public Schools for many years. During her life, she enjoyed planting flowers and collecting turtles. She never passed a garage sale without stopping, and she loved camping anywhere as long as she was with family. Karen loved spending time with her family more than anything else.

Karen is survived by her children, Denise (Paul) Barnum, of Grand Blanc, Lisa (Ron) Goddard, of Montrose, Dennis (Amy) Eschenweck, of Davison, and Joe (Wendy) Eschenweck, of Otisville; her 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Leanne (Bob) Bodbyl and Deana (Roger) Miller; her brother-in-law, Mel Loll; as well as many other loving family and friends. Karen was predeceased by her husband, Lee; her parents; her sister, Shar Loll; and her brother, Jack Stockwell.

A memorial luncheon will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the Masonic Lodge in Montrose. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.nelson-house.com.
