On Wednesday, March 15, United Financial Credit Union (UFCU) held a ribbon cutting ceremony at their new Chesaning location at 1720 W. Brady Road (M-57) on the western edge of Chesaning. In the photos above right, UFCU President and CEO Barb Appold cut the ribbon surrounded by credit union staff, the Chesaning Chamber of Commerce board of directors and representatives of the Village of Chesaning and Chesaning Township. Appold explained that UFCU became a business partner in Chesaning when the organization merged with Valley Communities Credit Union in 2003. Since then, UFCU has grown out of its facility on Third Street in Chesaning. The new branch location is state-of-the-art with all the latest in technology, Appold explained. It offers teller pods with personal service and a retail feel, as well as personal video tellers installed in the drive-thru. (TCC Photo by Jeanne Marcello)
