Friends of the Library Fundraiser: Easter Baskets for boys and girls are for sale, $10 each, available for purchase at the library.

The Hook & Needle Group will meet on Tuesday, March 28, at 1 p.m.

The St. Charles District Library Board will meet on Sunday, April 2, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.

The book discussion group will meet on Monday, April 3, at 6 p.m. to discuss Ashley Bell, a novel by Dean Koontz.

The adult coloring group meets the first and third Friday of the month from 10 a.m. to noon. The next adult coloring group is Friday, April 7 at 10 a.m. New members are welcome!

Hours of Operation: Monday – Thursday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday closed.

Book Discussion Group: Our selection for the April book discussion is One True Thing by Anna Quindlen. Stop by the library and pick up a copy then join us on Wednesday, April 19, at 7 p.m. for discussion and refreshments!

Tickets Available Now: The Chesaning Area Friends of the Library have their 2017 Reading Between the Vines tickets on sale. This event will be held on Saturday, April 8. Tickets are $25 per person or $40 per couple. This year’s event will include the sampling of craft beers as well as wine!

Art Show: The Friends of the Library will be holding their annual art fair April 3 –8. Participants can drop off their entries on Thursday, March 30th from 5 – 7 p.m.

Available Services: Fax - $2 for the first page, a $1 for each additional page; copies are 15 cents for black and white and 50 cents for color.

DVD Rentals: Patrons with a valid library card can rent movies for $1 per week. If we do not have a movie, we can usually inter-loan it from another library at no charge.

Book Sale: The Friends of the Library hold an ongoing used book sale. Books are 50 cents each or three for $1.

Family Movies: River Rapids Library hosts its Family Movie Day the first Saturday of each month. Patrons are encouraged to wear comfy clothes and bring their own pillows and blankets. Popcorn and drinks are provided.

Winter Hours: Monday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Tuesday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Wednesday closed, Thursday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Friday closed, Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Please note: In case of inclement weather, it may be necessary for us to close.

Ashley District Library

The Ashley District Library is open to the public Monday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. We will also be open the first week of April when Ashley Schools are on Spring Break. However, we will not open until 10 a.m. Come in and check out a book or movie!

The Ashley District Library will be having a Book Discussion Group on Tuesday, April 25 at 6:30 p.m. The book we will be discussing is My Name is Mahtob by Mahtob Mahmoody. We have copies if you would like to check one out.

Our library board will meet on Monday, March 20 in the library conference room. We begin at 5:30 p.m. All are welcome!
