Chesaning library friends host spring art fair April 3-8
CHESANING – A springtime tradition returns to the River Rapids District Library April 3 – 8 when the Chesaning Area Friends of the Library host their annual spring art fair.
The group is currently recruiting artists to take part in the community exhibition. Organizers say they look forward to showcasing the diverse talents of local residents.
“We hope people think beyond pastels and paint – in the past we’ve had beautiful paintings and drawings, but we’ve also displayed collages, photography, quilts, jewelry, china painting, comics and more,” said committee member Cheryl Bates. “We are very fortunate to have many talented people in our community, and we are excited to see what they come up with for this year’s show. All art is welcome.”
Submissions will be displayed in the library, 227 E. Broad Street, Chesaning, April 11-16. Friends of the Library members will be on hand to accept artwork from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 30 and from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 1. Items may be picked up at the library after the show.
Admission to the art show is free and open to the public.
