CHAMBER RAFFLE WINNER – The winner of the Chesaning Chamber of Commerce biweekly raffle for Wednesday, March 23, was Sue Vogelaar, of Chesaning. Guest drawer was Marcy King of Mel Ervin Ford Inc.

TRASH COLLECTION NOT AFFECTED – The Easter holiday will not affect solid waste collection services provided to the Saginaw County communities served by the Mid Michigan Waste Authority. Residents should prepare and set out materials on their regularly scheduled collection day.

STC SCHOOLS UPDATING HEALTH EDUCATION – St. Charles Community Schools will be holding two public hearings to discuss changes to the district’s adolescent health education program. There will be no change to

the curriculum, but materials are being updated from VHS to DVD, and a public hearing is required. Hearings will be held on Wednesday, April 6 at 4 p.m., and Wednesday, April 20 at 6 p.m. in the St. Charles Elementary School library. Each year, staff members Richard Moody and Jane Jordan meet with the fifth grade students to discuss the changes which occur in puberty. The video used in the past several years is outdated in regard to clothing and background. The hearings allow parents the opportunity to preview the DVD and/or review the script and ask any questions.

NL/ST. MICHAEL ALUMNI BANQUET MAY 7 – Alumni of New Lothrop Area Public Schools and St. Michael Catholic School are invited to attend the 87th Annual Alumni Banquet on

Saturday, May 7 in the NL elementary school cafeteria, 9387 Genesee Road. Doors are set to open at 5:30 p.m., with the potluck dinner beginning at 6 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring a passing dish and their own table service. All New Lothrop and St. Michael graduates, as well as their spouses, are welcome to attend.

STOCKHOLDERS MEETING – The Twin Bridges Golf Course, 105 N. McKeighan Rd., Chesaning, will hold its annual stockholders meeting Sunday, April 3 at 2 p.m. All stockholders are welcome. The meeting will be held at the Twin Bridges Golf Course. Contact Dean Schirle at (989) 845-6403 with any questions.

NEW COACHES – The Montrose Community Schools Board of Education hired two new

coaches during the March 22 meeting. Hannah Wade is the new Kuehn-Haven Middle School track and field coach. Christina Emmendorfer is the new Kuehn-Haven Middle School softball coach.

CAPA PRODUCTION - CAPA’s production of Disney’s The Lion King JR has two casts. An all-district cast performs April 28, 29, and 30. The middle school cast performs May 5, 6, and 7. All shows will be at the Chesaning Middle School auditorium, 431 N Fourth St., at 7 p.m. Reserved seating and general admission tickets are available online with no service charge at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2532349.
