Book Discussion Group: Our selection for the January book discussion is One More Thing Before I Go by Jonathan Tropper. Stop by the library and pick up a copy then join us on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, at 7 p.m. for discussion and refreshments.

Movie Day: We will be having movie day on Tuesday, Dec. 29, when we will be showing Frozen at 1 p.m. Wear your comfy clothes, bring a pillow or blanket and join us for a funfilled afternoon of movies, fresh popcorn, and other treats!

Tech Time: Mondays at 1 p.m. Ethan is ready to help with all your technical needs.

The library will be closed for New Year’s, Dec. 31 through Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016.

The St. Charles District Library Board will meet on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

The Book Discussion group will meet on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, at 6 p.m. to discuss The Paris Wife by Paula McLain. Meeting through mutual friends in Chicago, Hadley is intrigued by brash “beautiful boy” Ernest Hemingway, and after a brief courtship and small wedding, they take off for Paris, where Hadley makes a convincing transformation from an overprotected child to a game and brave young woman who puts up with impoverished living conditions and shattering loneliness to prop up her husband’s career.

Adult Coloring Club is the first Friday of every month from 10 a.m. to noon. The first coloring club will be held on Friday, Jan. 8, 2016. Coloring and quiet visiting for adults only. Coloring pages, crayons and pencils will be provided. Participants are also welcome to bring their own coloring pages and supplies.

Family Game Day at the Library starts Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, and continues the first Saturday of every month through April. Bring the family and come to the library to play games of all kinds for all ages from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Family Game Day Dates: Jan. 9, Feb. 6, March 5 and April 2! Come and join the family game day fun!

Congratulations go out to the winners of the Taymouth Township Library Christmas drawing. The first place winner was Gracie Snyder. Second place went to Cullen Gilleam. Our third place winner was Alliyah McClelland. Thank you to everyone who supported our library by purchasing tickets.
