MONTROSE BLUEBERRY QUEEN APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE – The Montrose Blueberry Queen’s Pageant will be held on Friday, March 1, at 7 p.m. in the Montrose Community Schools Auditorium. Queen applications are available for pick up at Hill- McCloy High School Office. The deadline is Feb. 8 at 3 p.m. and applications should be returned to Mrs. Podulka in the middle school office. CHS COLLECTING LABELS FOR EDUCATION – Chesaning Union High School is collecting Campbell’s Labels for Education to earn money for school supplies and physical education equipment. Area residents are asked to send labels to school with their students, or they may mail them to school to the attention of the coordinator, Mrs. Marnie Zeigler. For a full list of eligible products, visit the Campbell’s website at www.labelsforeducation.com.

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS OPEN HOUSES SET – Saginaw Area Catholic Schools have announced open houses. St. Stephen School’s multi-age 3-5 Montessori Program Open House will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 6 p.m. The Kindergarten Open House will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 6 p.m. St. Thomas Aquinas School’s Full Day and Traditional Preschool Open House will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 6 p.m. the Young Five and Kindergarten Open House will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 6 p.m.

NEW EVALUATION – The St. Charles School board approved a new board self evaluation tool and process during Wednesday’s meeting. The new process is more aligned with the superintendent evaluation and is designed to be more thorough and effective.

INTERVIEWS POSTPONED – The St. Charles school board expects to conduct superintendent interviews a little later then first discussed. The board now expects to conduct interviews in March in order to allow more time to evaluate the applications they have received.
