Chesaning School Board elects new officers and other business

CHESANING – The Chesaning Union Schools Board of Education elected new officers during their Jan. 14 meeting. The officers are as follows: President Martin Maier, Vice President Julie Keck, Treasurer Scott Kohagen, and Secretary Becky Butcher.

The newest board members, Julie Sadilek and Brian Lewis, joined committees.

2012-2013 Chesaning Union Schools Board of Education committee assignments are as follows.

Finance Committee: Becky Butcher, Scott Kohagen, Marty Maier, and Julie Keck (alternate).

Transportation Committee: Julie Keck, Steve Lane, Brian Lewis, and Scott Kohagen (alternate).

Marketing Committee: Becky Butcher, Scott Kohagen, Marty Maier, and Julie Sadilek (alternate).

Facility Committee: Julie Keck, Scott Kohagen, Marty Maier, and Julie Sadilek (alternate).

Athletic Committee: Julie Keck, Brian Lewis, Julie Sadilek, and Becky Butcher (alternate).

Also during the organizational meeting, Superintendent Mike McGough announced that he had received a letter of resignation from school board member Tom Dodak. Dodak was elected to the school board in fall of 2011. McGough said he would interview interested candidates.
