AUDTIONS SET FOR ‘CUCKOO’S NEST’ – Owosso Community Players will be holding Open Auditions for the upcoming comedy/drama “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” at 7 p.m. on Jan. 22 and 23. The auditions will be held in the Hoddy Building Scene Shop, which is located between the Lebowsky Center and Sunnyside Florists on South Park Street. Parts are available for a large cast of men and women. A famous book, film, and long-running theatrical show, “Cuckoo’s Nest” tells the unforgettable story of a mental ward and its inhabitants, especially the brawling, fun-loving new inmate, Randle Patrick McMurphy, and his heroic attempts to do battle with the awesome powers that keep them all imprisoned. “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” will have five performances (March 22, 23, 24, 29, 30). CLIO CAST AND CREW PRESENTS ‘AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY’ – Clio Cast and Crew is excited to be the first community theatre in Michigan to present the play August: Osage County. Show dates are Feb. 8, 9, 15, and 16 at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 10 and 17 at 2 p.m. at Theatre 57, 2220 W. Vienna Road, Clio (next to the Clio schools bus garage). This Pulitzer and Tony Award winning play is for mature audiences only (18 and over), and has mature adult themes and explicit language. The production is made available through special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, and is directed by William Kircher and assistant director Ed Nelson.
