Gould matched all five white balls in the Mega Millions with a ticket purchased at the Citgo station, St. Charles Oil Company, 635 North Saginaw Street.

“I stopped at the gas station to buy a newspaper and saw the machine,” Gould said of his impulse to buy the easy-pick ticket. “I didn’t even look at the ticket for a few days.”

Gould collected his prize from the Michigan Lottery on Monday.

Gould, 90, said that with the money he is considering moving closer to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The Mega Millions is a multi-state lotto game, where ticket holders try to match all five white balls plus the gold mega ball to win the jackpot.
