Please join us for a book signing. Local author Keith Salisbury, of Chesaning, announces his romantic holiday novella, Dev’s Christmas, has been released in paperback by Black Lyon Publishing of Oregon.

Salisbury will be selling and signing copies of Dev’s Christmas on Tuesday, Dec. 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. Salisbury lives in Chesaning with his wife, Jodi, and serves as editor of the Tri- County Citizen. He has also received several Michigan Press Association awards for his photography and writing.

Book Discussion Group is reading Have a Little Faith by Mitch Albom for our December book. We will be meeting Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. Stop in and pick up a copy to enjoy. Bring a friend; there will be yummy refreshments!

Congratulations to our Santa Raffle winners! Calleigh DeVinney was the winner of a Santa Gift Bag and Brett Werdling was the winner of a Christmas Book.

The library will be closed Dec. 23 thru Dec. 25 for the Christmas Holiday. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, Dec. 26.

The library will be closed Dec. 31 thru Jan. 1 for the New Year’s Holiday. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, Jan. 2.

The book discussion group will meet on Monday, Jan. 2, 2012 at 6 p.m. to discuss the book The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer. If you would like to participate in the book discussion group, please call the library to register and request your copy of the book title selected.

The Friends of the Library will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012 at 6 p.m. The Friends will be discussing and planning the spring book and bake sale. New members are welcome and encouraged to join the Friends.

If the library is closed due to inclement weather it will be posted on our website, ABC TV12 and WNEM TV5.

The Raucholz Memorial Library has a collection box for the Toys for Tots campaign. You may donate a new, unwrapped toy for a needy child. The last day to make your donation is Wednesday, Dec. 14.

The Raucholz Memorial Library will host a Christmas ornament craft event on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 3:30 p.m. for children ages first grade and older. The program will be held in the Richland Township meeting room. Susan Pack, volunteer art instructor, will bring craft supplies for 25 children. “Gingerbread House Fun Night” at the Raucholz Memorial Library will be on Thursday, Dec. 15 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event will be held in the Richland Township meeting room. You may come at any time that fits your schedule. This is a drop-in “make and take” craft event. Registration is not necessary, but is helpful for planning. Taymouth Township Library is having its annual “Sled Full of Goodies” drawing. Tickets are $1 each and are available at the library. The drawing will be held on Monday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m.

The library will also be having a Christmas Cookie Sale on Monday, Dec. 12 from 2 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday, Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

We also have free Wi-Fi service available at the library.
