 HAZELTON TOWNSHIP BOARD will meet at
7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 12 at the township

 CHESANING LIONS CLUB members will meet

 CHESANING AMERICAN LEGION POST

#212 will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec.
14, at the Legion Hall on McKeighan. Veterans

 The TEEN BOOK CLUB will meet on

 The ST. CHARLES LIONS CLUB will meet on
Thursday, Dec. 15 at noon at the St. Charles
United Methodist Church, 301 W. Belle St., St.

 The CHESANING AREA HISTORICAL
SOCIETY will hold its annual Christmas potluck
dinner on Monday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. in the
lower level of the museum. Those attending
are asked to bring a dish to pass, their own
table setting, a gift exchange item suitable for
a man or woman with a $5 limit, and a food
item for the Chesaning Area Emergency Relief
(CAER) Center. The meat and beverages will be
provided. Be prepared for an evening of fun
and delicious food. The public is invited.
FUNDRAISERS
 The Montrose Prom Rendezvous will sponsor
a SPECIAL DINNER NIGHT AT UNO
RESTAURANT in Birch Run on Wednesday, Dec.
14. For those who eat at Uno Restaurant on
Dec. 14, 20 percent of their bill will be donated to Montrose Prom Rendezvous. Spread the
word to friends and family to pick up a special
Montrose Prom Rendezvous Uno coupon in the
elementary, middle or high school office to
support this event. The coupon must be presented to the server in order for Montrose
Prom Rendezvous to receive credit. Anyone can
participate.
FOOD AND FELLOWSHIP

 The Montrose Eagles Club #4090 Auxiliary
will be serving a COUNTRY BREAKFAST BUFFET on Sunday, Dec. 11, from 8 a.m. to noon.
The cost is $7 for adults, $3.50 for children
ages 6-12, and free for children ages 5 and
under. The menu for the all-you-can-eat full
breakfast buffet includes sausage gravy and
biscuits, sausage patties/links, bacon, corned
beef hash, scrambled eggs, hash browns,
made to order eggs, pancakes, french toast,
strawberry and biscuits with Cool Whip, coffee,
tea, milk and orange juice. Buffet is open to
the public, and take-outs are welcome. For

 There will be a SOUP AND PIE SUPPER featuring homemade soup on Wednesday, Dec. 21
from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the First United
Methodist Church of New Lothrop, 7495

BAZAARS AND CRAFT SHOWS
 The ANNUAL COOKIE WALK at the Birch Run
United Methodist Church, 12265 Church St.,
Birch Run, will be held on Saturday, Dec. 17
from 10 a.m. to noon. For more information,

CHURCHES
 On Sunday, Dec. 11, during the 9:30 a.m.
worship hour, the First United Methodist
Church of New Lothrop will present the play
“CHRISTMAS IS NOT YOUR BIRTHDAY.”
Everyone is welcome. The church is located at
7495 Orchard St. in New Lothrop.
SCHOOLS
 MONTROSE COMMUNITY SCHOOLS BOARD
OF EDUCATION will meet at 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 13 for a regular meeting in the
Kuehn-Haven Middle School media center, 303
Ray St., Montrose.
 ST. CHARLES COMMUNITY SCHOOLS
BOARD OF EDUCATION will meet at 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 14, in the high school library,
881 W. Walnut Street, St. Charles.
 CHESANING UNION SCHOOLS BOARD OF
EDUCATION will hold a special meeting at 6:30
p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, at the high school
media center, 850 N. Fouth St., Chesaning.
 NEW LOTHROP AREA PUBLIC SCHOOLS
BOARD OF EDUCATION will meet at 6 p.m.
Monday, Dec. 12, for a regular meeting in the
High School Library, 9285 Easton Rd., New
Lothrop. The 2010-11 audit will be presented

at the meeting.
SUPPORT GROUPS
 The Owosso PARKINSON DISEASE SUPPORT
GROUP will meet on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 7
p.m. in the Community Room of the Medical
Arts Building at Owosso Memorial Healthcare.
Please bring non-perishable food items to
donate to the Salvation Army food bank, as
well as other food banks in the Shiawassee
County area. Please bring cookies to eat and to

ODDS & ENDS
 The Montrose Senior Citizen Center will be
holding a EUCHRE TOURNAMENT on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from
5 to 8 p.m. Players must be at least 18 years
old. No alcohol or tobacco are permitted.
Please call (810) 639-2822 to reserve a place
to play. The tournaments will be held at the
senior center, 200 Alfred St., Montrose.
 The SAGINAW COUNTY COMMUNITY
ACTION COMMITTEE will be at the Chesaning
Lions Club on Tuesday, Dec. 13 from 9 a.m. to
noon to sign up clients for propane. The following information is needed to process applications: picture ID for everyone age 18 and older;
monthly income for 2011/past 30 days/Social
Security/pension; name of propane company;
and the propane level must be at 20 percent
or less. Income guidelines for each person in
the household are: 1) $1,986; 2) $2,597; 3)
$3,208; 4) $3,819; 5) $4,430; 6) $5,041; 7)
$5,545; 8) $6,616; 9) $6,791.
 A BID EUCHRE CARD GAME NIGHT is being
formed at the Chesaning American Legion Hall,
at the corner of McKeighan and Baldwin Roads
in Chesaning. Games will be played every
Monday evening, beginning Jan. 9, 2012. The
fee is $5 to play. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
and play will begin at $6 p.m. All money taken
in will be paid out. There will be no fee on the
first play night, Jan. 9. This will be an instructional game night. Participants will learn how to
play the game and how the scoring is done.
This is a social gathering for people ages 18
and older. Participants do not have to come
with a partner to play. For more information,
