NL Lions present scholarships

(TCC Photo by Keith Salisbury (top) and Courtesy Photo (right)) NEW LOTHROP – The New Lothrop Lions Club presented three scholarships in memory of Lion Wayne Alderman and Lion Al Gaspar on May 25, at the awards ceremony at New Lothrop Area High School.

Presenting the scholarships were three retired school teachers, Becky Warren, Rick Beliveau and Art Vlahon.

Colton Eisenhauer received the Wayne Alderman and Al Gaspar Scholarship of $1,140.66. He is the son of Dean and Cheryl Eisenhauer and Elaine and Tom Grettenberger. He is a 2011 graduate of New Lothrop Area High School and will be attending Delta College in the fall for a degree in creative writing or film production.

Arrianne Klier received the Wayne Alderman and Al Gaspar Scholarship of $1,140.66. She is the daughter of Daniel and Anjanette Klier. She is a 2011 graduate of New Lothrop Area High School and will be attending Delta College for two years to study business and will then transfer to Michigan State University.

Kaelynn Clolinger received the Wayne Alderman and Al Gaspar Scholarship of $1,140.66. She is the daughter of Tim and Jeanny Clolinger. She is a 2011 graduate of New Lothrop Area High School and will be attending the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor’s College of Engineering for a degree in civil engineering.

The New Lothrop Lions Club recently presented the Wayne Alderman and Al Gasper Scholarships to three New Lothrop graduating seniors. The Lions Club was honored to present three scholarships this year due to a wonderful turnout of the golf scramble held in September, 2010. The Lions are having their fourth annual scramble on Sunday, Sept. 11.
