Monday, June 6: Roasted chicken, mixed vegetables, O’Brien potatoes, potato roll, margarine and milk.

Tuesday, June 7: Breakaway philly steak with cheese, mushrooms and green peppers, baked potatoes, peas and onions, wheat grain sub bun, mixed fruit and juice.

Wednesday, June 8: Honey roasted ham with sauce, mashed sweet potatoes, European blend vegetables, potato roll, margarine, fresh fruit and milk.

Thursday, June 9: Swiss steak with gravy, mashed potatoes, Sicilian blend vegetables, wheat roll, margarine, fresh orange and juice.

Friday, June 10: Macaroni and cheese, succotash with red peppers, stewed tomatoes, corn muffin, margarine, cookie and milk.


Monday, June 6: Chicken tenders, penne wheat, green beans, grain roll, chocolate milk and applesauce.

Tuesday, June 7: Meatloaf, mashed potato, super sweet corn, whole wheat bread and fresh cantaloupe.

Wednesday, June 8: Pancakes, turkey links, hash browns, apple juice, raspberry yogurt, granola bar and red delicious apple.

Thursday, June 9: Chicken tacos, red beans and rice, orange wedges, sour cream cup and taco sauce.

Friday, June 10: Meatballs, redskin potatoes, carrot coins, whole wheat bread and fresh strawberries.

There will be a free vision screening for seniors on Monday, June 13 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Montrose Senior Center. Services will include vision screening, adjustment of glasses, cleaning of glasses, affordable frames to try on, literature on macular degeneration and glaucoma, discount cards for the uninsured and free one year frame warranty with appointment. Services will be provided free of charge by Riverfront Optical, 4325 Miller Road, Flint, (810) 230-9292. Call the Senior Center at (810) 639-2822 for an appointment.

There will be a community awareness program on funeral planning on Wednesday, June 15, at 11 a.m. at the Montrose Senior Center. Participants will learn about how to protect their families from unnecessary pain and expense; saying goodbye in a way that uniquely reflects their personal style, not someone else’s; how to show their love in a way their family will never forget; how to minimize disputes between their well-meaning relatives; how to comfortably pay for their funeral over time, at today’s prizes, so the family won’t have to find the money later; and the difference between a funeral policy and life insurance.

Albee Senior Friends meet for activities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays at the Albee Community Center. Registration is not required. People who wish to participate may bring a friend. Programs change weekly.
