Wedding


Mr. and Mrs. Travis McMillin. Mr. and Mrs. Travis McMillin. Amber Long and Travis McMillin, both of Montrose, were united in marriage on April 10, 2010 at Lamb of God Church in Montrose. Roseanne Skinner performed the 2 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Keith and Diana Long, of Durand. The groom is the son of Nicki Ackerman, of Montrose, and David McMillin, of Lennon.

The bride wore a plain white gown with sequin designs and a dark purple sash. She carried a bouquet of purple and red carnations.

The maid of honor was Tori McMillin, of Montrose, sister of the groom. Bridesmaids were Jamie Thompson, of Montrose, friend of the bride, Amber Burke, of Montrose, friend of the bride, and Taylor Ackerman, sister of the groom.

The best man was David McMillin, of Lennon, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Colby Norman, of Swartz Creek, friend of the groom, Ed Thompson, of Montrose, friend of the groom, and Josh Long, of Durand, brother of the bride.

Ushers were Eugene Brewster, of Saginaw, uncle of the bride, and Tony Strait, of Saginaw, uncle of the bride.

The ring bearer was Payton McMillin, son of the bride and groom.

Following the ceremony, a reception for 110 guests was held in the couple’s honor at the Maple Grove Township Hall.

The bride has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Phoenix. The groom has a degree in mobile dyanmics.
