Monday, Mar. 7: Baked turkey ham, scalloped potatoes, Mailbu vegetable blend, potato roll, margarine and milk.

Tuesday, Mar. 8: Chili with ground beef, tossed salad with tomatoes, wheat crackers, salad dressing, applesauce and juice.

Wednesday, Mar. 9: Chicken cordon bleu, Capri vegetable blend, sliced potatoes, potato roll, margarine, fresh apple and milk.

Thursday, Mar. 10: Liver and onion with gravy, green beans, mashed potatoes, potato roll, margarine, fruit and juice.

Friday, Mar. 11: Marinated chicken breast, broccoli au gratin, baby carrots, bran muffin, margarine, fruit salad and milk.


Monday, Mar. 7: Hamburger with fixings, potatoes with onions, carrots and canned apple juice.

Tuesday, Mar. 8: Baked chicken breast, rice pilaf, Caribbean blend vegetable, whole wheat bread and red delcious apple.

Wednesday, Mar. 9: Spaghetti with meat sauce, green beans, dinner roll and ambrosia.

Thursday, Mar. 10: BBQ beef dippers, baked beans, corn, tossed salad and fresh grapes.

Friday, Mar. 11: Creamed turkey, mashed potatoes, Siclian vegetable blend, sliced rye bread and fresh pear.

Free senior health exams for anyone age 60 and older who lives in Genesee County will be available at the Montrose Senior Center on Wednesday, March 23 from 9 a.m. to noon. Services offered include: screenings for blood pressure, pulse, cholesterol tests, blood sugar tests, Creatinine/BUN (test for kidney function), PSA test (men only), and stool sample for hidden blood. Coupons for free TB skin test, pneumonia shot, flu shot and tetanus and diptheria shot will also be available. Please sign up for an appointment at the senior center office. Services will be provided by the Genesee County Health Department.

Powerwalking at the Senior Center is held every weekday morning from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Come and go as you please during this time. You do not have to be a “senior” to join us. Winter weather is upon us and makes it too cold to exercise or walk outside. Come on in and “work out” with us.

An Old Time and Country Music Jamboree is held on the second Thursday of each month from 2 to 4 p.. at the Montrose Senior Center. Acoustic instruments only, please. Come join the fun. Come join the fun with Country Line Dancing every Tuesday from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Montrose Senior Center.

The seniors are having a spring raffle. Tickets are on sale now, $1 each or six for $5. The public is welcome to stop by to purchase tickets.

The list of prizes includes: First prize, angel garden statue, donated by Riverside Flowers; second prize, treated garden bench, donated by the Lakes; third prize, decorative bird feeder, donated by the Joe Adams family; fourth prize, a 4x6 afghan; fifth prize, a basket of kitchen items -- electric waffle maker, kitchen clock, etc. - donated by the Jerry Lauro family; sixth prize, potpourri basket, donated by Broad Street Pharmacy; seventh prize, baby afghan, donated by Nancy Doan; eighth prize, $25 gift certificate, donated by the senior center; ninth prize, lawn decoration with solar light, donated by the Sam Martinez family.

Albee Senior Friends

Albee Senior Friends meet for activities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays at the Albee Community Center. Registration is not required. People who wish to participate may bring a friend. Programs change weekly.
