GRANTED

GRANTED - Montrose Township is one of only two municipalities in Genesee County that applied for and received a grant for the purchase electronic poll books, according to Montrose Township Clerk Fred Domine (left). Domine said he was surprised that Montrose Township and the City of Clio were the only municipalities to apply for the grant for the electronic polling equipment. Through the grant, Montrose Township received four poll book lap top computers, one for each precinct. Pictured above, Domine teaches Precinct 1 Chairwoman Karen Gall (right) how to use the new electronic poll book. The equipment is designed to replace handwritten poll books, providing a faster and more accurate method of identifying eligible voters.
