Senior EXPO set for June 14 at Memorial Healthcare OWOSSO – Memorial Healthcare will host the popular free Senior EXPO on Monday, June 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Memorial’s Auditorium and grounds, located at 826 W. King Street in Owosso. Activities scheduled include health-related vendors, health screenings, physician speakers, door prizes, a picnic-style lunch, free transportation from SATA, and more. For those individuals completing a dream ticket at the event, their name will be entered into a drawing for a bouquet of gift certificates to local restaurants and businesses. Physician presentations to be offered include “Keeping Your Feet Healthy” at noon presented by Matthew Thomson, D.P.M.; “Arthritic Hip” at 12:30 p.m. presented by Michael Schmidt, D.O.; and “Five Wishes & Durable Power of Attorney” at 1 p.m. presented by Ly Gau, D.O. Interactive demonstrations will include a Tai Chi demonstration at 10:30 a.m. presented by Cindy Helmker, PTA; a discussion on avoiding scams and swindles and the Shiawassee County Project Lifesaver program at 11 a.m. presented by Lt. Michael TerMeer; and a healthy cooking demo at 11:30 a.m. presented by Lindsay Fortman, registered dietitian. To reserve a free seat on SATA, contact 989-729-2687.
