Montrose baseball sweeps NL

NEW LOTHROP – The Montrose baseball team improved to 17-2-1 last Monday by sweeping neighboring New Lothrop 5-0 and 11-3.

Trevor Adams pitched a complete game no-hitter in the opener for the Rams. He struck out seven and walked three in the seven inning gem.

Dylan Huber made two diving catches in leftfield to help preserve the no-hitter.

Alex Demock had a triple and scored a run for Montrose, while Adams had two singles and an RBI and Eli Reinhart chipped in a triple.

Demock picked up the victory in the nightcap going five innings and allowing three runs, two hits and striking out seven.

Joey Anderson got the save with two innings of one-hit relief.

Trevor Adams and Jameson Campbell each had a single, double and an RBI for the Rams. Aaron Adams also singled and doubled, while Anderson had two singles and scored a run and Demock added a double and one RBI.
