MSU Extension offers free home repair class SAGINAW – Saginaw residents can learn how to make minor home repairs during five five-part class series offered free by Michigan State University Extension office and through a community block grant from the City of Saginaw. All classes will meet at the Michigan State University Extension Office, One Tuscola St., Saginaw. The first class series meets from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays, beginning Jan. 12 through Feb. 9. The second series meets from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays, beginning Feb. 18 through March 18. The third series meets from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesdays, beginning March 17 through April 14. The fourth series meets from 6 to 8 p.m. on Mondays, beginning May 3 through June 7. The fifth series meets from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, April 24 through May 22. Classes include: minor plumbing repairs; minor electrical repairs; minor interior repairs; interior painting and wallpapering; minor exterior repairs; exterior painting; screen repair workshop; lamp repair workshop; and home safety and security.
