Computer Classes:

Computer Basics - This class is for anyone with little or no computer experience. A workshop designed for beginning computer users. Learn how to use the mouse with an online tutorial and work in a Windows environment. Basic computer vocabulary will also be covered. Mondays, Nov. 2 and 9: 1:30-2:30 p.m. Please call the library at (989) 845-3211 to sign up.

Basic Internet - For this workshop you must know how to type, even if it is the hunt and peck method. This class will cover Internet, Web browsers, home pages, hypertext, menus and toolbars. We will also learn basic search techniques. Fridays, Nov. 6 and 13: 11 a.m. – noon. Please call the library at (989) 845- 3211 to sign up.

The Chesaning Area Friends of the Library will be meeting this Wednesday at 6 p.m. All friends and wanna-be friends are welcome!

Book Discussion Group is reading Loving Frank by Nancy Horan for our October book.

We will be meeting this Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. Stop in and pick up a copy to enjoy. Bring a friend; there will be free refreshments! FREE.

Congratulations to the Friends of the Library Quilt Raffle Winners: Lou Tithof won the quilt and Donna Louchart and Michael Bodhaine, Jr., each won a $25 Barnes & Noble Gift Certificate.

The Friends of the St. Charles District Library and the library would like to thank everyone who helped and those who supported the Book and Bake sale and Quilt Raffle. All proceeds go to the library for special programs and materials. THANK YOU!!!

The St. Charles District Library book discussion group is reading “Double Take” by Catherine Coulter for the October book. The group will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 6 p.m. to discuss the book.

The library senior citizen group will meet on Friday, Oct. 23, at 10 a.m. The group enjoys playing cards, snacks and socializing. New members are always welcome to come and join the fun

Our hours of operation are: Monday – Thursday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
